Ongoing Performance
Gilmour Transport Ltd stems from a long legacy that began when in 1979 Alan Forbes became an owner driver for Forest Products. A new Kenworth with a crane at the rear was soon on the road. This experience led to a long association with Kenworth that continues today. Fast forward to June 2021, Alan stepped away for the business handing the reins over to Gilmour Transport Ltd, a joint venture between Warwick Wilshier and Campbell Gilmour.
Today the Kenworth fleet operates for a newly built facility in the southern industrial area of Tokoroa.

Earlier this year the company took delivery of a pair of the next generation 600hp Kenworth K220s. Also new to the spec was the inclusion of the Eaton Endurant AMT which is performing, “faultlessly and is return much improved fuel savings,” according to Campbell. Added to this, he is also well impressed with the new dash layout and the new cab air suspension. “Kenworth always bling up and drivers are proud to be in Kenworth because they feel really neat to be in (them).”
Tokoroa based Shane Runga is proud to have been handed the keys to this beauty.
